First Workshop in 2017 on January 8th

What can open up for someone when they make their own Spirit Boat?  This guiding question helps me prepare for a Spirit Boat Making Workshop. I believe that art making will give a person a hands-on opportunity to learn about themselves by exploring materials and ideas.
It is a shame that people in today's world have less and less time to spend on discovering their inner creativity. We all can use a Spirit Boat to enrich and transform our lives. As a metaphor, it can be useful in a multitude of ways.  To make your own is a memorable experience.

The boat maker's reward is a tangible symbol of their own journey that they hold in their own hands.  It feels empowering and that might be surprising for who would believe how powerful a little boat like this can be?
The magic happens when one invests in the process and pays attention to their intention, which might be to release grief or loss, honor someone, or celebrate their successes. Or it can be to have fun, be unattached to outcome and open to the new. In the hundreds of people who have made boats with me, I see that no two boats are alike. They are as unique as the people who make them.
